Tilia occurrence

A beautiful avenue and park tree that immigrated from Denmark 7,500 years ago. The tree is characterized by a wide, (egg) round crown, a dark gray-brown, furrowed bark and branches that change color from green to reddish-brown. The leaves are heart-shaped and green. Blooms in June/July with small, upright yellow to cream colored, strongly scented flowers. In the fall, the plant bears round fruits that change from being felty to bald. Tilia is counted among the noble deciduous trees.

Tilia flowers are obtained from two varieties of linden trees - shoe Tilia (Tilia cordata) and large-leaved Tilia (Tilia grandifolia).

What is Tilia flowers good for?

The tilia flower contains many bioactive compounds such as phytosterols, terpenes and tannins. Tilia flowers also contain vitamins PP and C.

Ingredients: dried tilia flower

Dosage: Take 1 tablespoon of tilia flower and pour over 2 dl of boiling water, let it steep for a maximum of 5-10 minutes, preferably under the lid. Strain out the herb.
