Monolaurin is a compound obtained from coconut oil and coconut pulp. From a chemical point of view, it is a monoglyceride of lauric acid, that is, a combination of glycerin and lauric acid. It can support the body's defenses against a wide range of bacteria, viruses and fungi. Lauric acid is the main reason for coconut oil's many healthy properties. Lauric acid is converted in the intestinal tract to the active form monolaurin, which is many times stronger than coconut oil and lauric acid in its function.

It is also worth mentioning that monolaurin is completely safe to use but its use by pregnant women and nursing mothers has not been tested, so caution is advised when using it in these cases.

At the beginning of monolaurin use, temporary symptoms may occur:

*rash, monolaurin capsules

*nausea,

*headache,

*acne rash,

*exercise pain

This may be a sign of a cleansing reaction, the so-called Herxheimer reaction, in which case the amount of monolaurin taken should be reduced.

People with a nut allergy should be careful with monolaurin intake.

In some cases, monolaurin should not be used, such as multiple sclerosis or enteritis. Monolaurin is a very valuable substance, but in specific situations it can cause excessive activity of T cells (immune cells) and thus increase inflammation, so it should be used with caution.

The product is without added fillers, dyes, preservatives and lubricants.
