Bicarbonate - 500 g

Bicarbonate, also called sodium bicarbonate or sodium bicarbonate, is a white, non-toxic powder with a high pH value (alkaline), it neutralizes acid

and has good cleaning properties. It can also be combined with other things that you usually have in the pantry, such as citric acid or vinegar.

Bicarbonate - cleaning at home

* To clean more deeply use bicarbonate paste. Mix bicarbonate with about the same amount of water. On that seat you can clean metal sinks, tile joints or white shoes.

*Dry powder you can use to clean the washing machine, you can also sprinkle bicarbonate on the mattress to freshen it up

*Ordinary fabric softener can be replaced with bicarbonate

*If it smells bad from the drain, you can pour in bicarbonate powder and a little later also vinegar. The mixture starts to bubble and is allowed to work for a while. Then rinse the drain clean with hot water.

Bicarbonate beauty

*Toothpaste with bicarbonate - mix coconut oil and bicarbonate in a 1:1 ratio. You can add a drop or two of your favorite essential oil. Store the toothpaste in a glass jar.

*Face mask for oily skin - mix 1 tbsp bicarbonate with 1 tbsp water. Massage into the skin, then rinse with warm water.

Note that bicarbonate is a skin irritant in high concentration.
