Inositol, which is also called vitamin B8, is not really a vitamin but is counted among the B vitamins as it has a similar effect in the body. Inositol has a structural significance in the body and is part of the cell membranes, where it contributes to normal cell function and affects cell signaling. The product interacts with receptors that mediate signaling and is part of the serotonin system, among other things. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that affects mood and makes us feel calm and at ease.

Inositol also interacts with choline in the metabolism of fat in the body, as well as in the production of lecithin. Lecithin, in turn, is involved in the transport of cholesterol. Inositol also affects the hormone insulin and helps counteract insulin resistance. Insulin, in turn, is necessary for normal blood sugar control.

The body can produce inositol to some extent, but it is also found in beans, nuts, citrus fruits and green vegetables, among other things. Inositol is safe to use and it has no known side effects.

The product is suitable for vegans. Free from GMOs. Without the addition of fillers, dyes, preservatives and lubricants. Inositol can be used during pregnancy in case of gestational diabetes.
