Artichoke leaf (Cynara cardunculus)

Artichoke is an herb that is used as both an ornamental plant and a vegetable. The most important active substances found in artichoke are cynaropicrin and flavonoids as well as potassium, calcium, phosphorus and magnesium, and it also contains trace amounts of vitamins C and E. An important compound from artichoke that affects the liver is the already mentioned cynaropicrin. it is said that this substance can stimulate the production of bile, lowers cholesterol and regenerates the liver.

Speedwell (Veronica officinalis L.)

The herb is rich in flavonoids, phenolic acids, organic acids, saponins and tannins. Thanks to the active substances, speedwell has a diuretic effect. In this way, it helps to increase the excretion of toxic substances from the body.

Couch grass (Elymus repens)

The roots and seeds can be used as flour in bread. Roots can be eaten fresh, but when cooked, you get a sugary, syrup-like layer that can be used as a sweetener. The leaves can be used for green juice, like wheat grass. Roasted quince can work as a decaffeinated coffee substitute.

In folk medicine, it has been used for rheumatism, gout and skin problems; acts diuretic and antibiotic;

Dandelion root (Taraxaci radix)

Dandelion roots are rich in, among other things, tannins, bitter substances, pectin, and mucus substances. Tannins are mildly astringent, bitter substances contributes to the production of bile and gastric juice, and has a stimulating effect on the appetite and digestion, this in turn facilitates the digestion of fat and oil. Mucous substances appear protective.

Chamomile flower (Matricaria chamomilla L.)

The use of chamomile in phytotherapy, i.e. herbal medicine, is associated with the wealth of active compounds, including: essential oils, flavonoids, coumarins, phenolic acids and polysaccharides.
