Astragalus is an herb that has long been well known in Eastern culture where it is considered one of the 50 fundamental herbs. The plant belongs to the adaptogenic plants. The word adaptogen comes from the English "adapt" which means to adapt. The adaptogens work for the mental ability to adapt to different situations.

What is Astragalus good for?

The root contains a number of biologically active substances, including saponins and isoflavonoids, which contribute to its effect on many organs of the body. As Astragalus belongs to the adaptogenic plants, it contributes to mental adaptation. The plant has been used in the Chinese tradition as a natural remedy for many thousands of years, as a general strengthening, beneficial and balancing substance for the body.

There are also many modern scientific studies where Astragalus has appeared and above all it has been linked to the immune system.
