What is tulsi?

Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum) is a saint under the name Basil, a meter tall plant with many fine, hairy branches and stems, where 6-8 cm long "ears" are white to reddish flowers. It occurs naturally in tropical areas in Asia, e.g. in India, Malaysia and China.

How is the herb used?

In Ayurveda, leaves, seeds and roots are used. Tulsi contains a whole range of essential oils with interesting properties but also other valuable active substances, such as: flavonoids, saponins, tannins and mineral salts. According to Ayurveda, tulsi helps keep the mind and body calm in stressful situations. In addition, it works excellently as a flavoring agent for many culinary dishes.

Ingredients: Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum) dried leaves 100%

Dosage: Infusion: 1 tablespoon of tulsi in 1 cup of boiling water, cover and brew for about 20 minutes. Consume 2-3 times a day.
