Spirulina has long been used as a food in various countries around the world. It has also become a very popular dietary supplement. Spirulina consists, among other things, of 60% protein with all essential amino acids, contains e.g. Vitamin C, vitamin E and B vitamins but also minerals such as iron, zinc and chromium. Spirulina also hides the omega-3 fatty acids.
