Rockrose occurrence

Cistus Creticus grows in the Mediterranean and Black Sea regions. The name "creaticus" comes from the plant's place of origin - Crete, where it is grown on soils rich in magnesium. This herb is characterized by pink flowers.

What is Rockrose good for?

The most important substances found in cistus are flavonoids, resins, phenolic acids and essential oils. In ancient times, a dark brown, bitter resin called labdanum was obtained, which was used to strengthen the digestive and respiratory organs, and to prepare poultices.

In folk medicine, the herb has been known for centuries, mainly as a medicinal plant with antibacterial, antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties.

Can Rockrose cause any side effects?

There are no known side effects that this herb can cause, however, it is important not to exceed the recommended daily intake. The herb should not be used by pregnant, nursing mothers and children. Also, people who are allergic to any of the ingredients in the product should avoid this herb.

1.5 g of rockrose leaves is equivalent to 1 teaspoon

The recommended daily intake:

4.5 g of Cistus Creticus

Dosage: Infusion - pour 1 cup of boiling water over 1 teaspoon (approx. 1.5 g) of dried herb. Brew under the lid for 3-5 min. Can be sweetened with honey. Drink up to three times daily.

Storage: Store in a dry, cool place. Out of reach of children. Protect from direct sunlight.
