Coleus forskohlii origin

Coleus forskohlii is an herb with many years of traditional use in Ayurveda. The plant belongs to the mint family and grows wild in warm subtropical areas such as Thailand, Burma or Northern India. In Western countries, the herb is mostly used as an ornamental plant.

Coleus forskohlii grows between 30-60 cm and has beautiful green shimmering leaves with a light purple center. It is above all the root that is used and that contains the substance forskolin. These roots are harvested in autumn when the concentration of this substance is at its highest.
