What are bitter apricot kernels?

Bitter apricot kernels come from wild varieties of apricot trees. Apricot tree (Prunus armeniaca L.) is a species of perennial plant. The tree comes from Asia, occurs in Kyrgyzstan, China and Korea. Bitter apricot kernels have been used since ancient times. Fruits were more popular, but seeds were found to be an equally rich source of amygdalin (laetrile or white B17).

Currently, specially selected fruits are harvested by hand. Each batch has a certificate and tests for fungi and mold - which is very important.

Contraindications and side effects

Apricot kernels bitter cannot be given to children, pregnant and lactating women. The amygdalin can develop hydrogen cyanide after ingestion. Recommended dose is 2 pcs/day. If you take too many, it can cause nausea, vomiting, dizziness, palpitations and, in severe cases, also affect consciousness and breathing.

Also, make sure to keep the apricot kernels out of the reach of children!
