Greater celandine contains isoquinoline alkaloids, phenolic acids, flavonoids, resins, essential oils and choline. The active substances give the herb antispasmodic properties. The yellow-red plant sap has been used externally for wound care, against warts, acne, ringworm, scabies and fungus.

Ingredients: Dried Greater celandine (Chelidonium majus)

Dosage:

Infusion: 1 teaspoon of herbs per one glass of boiling water. Leave for approx. 30 min covered. Strain. Drink 1 glass of infusion divided into small amounts. Approx. 3-4 servings.

Decoction: Place 0.5 tbsp of the herb in a small, non-aluminum vessel, pour a glass of water and bring to a slow boil. Cook for 5 minutes on low heat and then strain. Consume 1 glass of decoction divided into 3-4 portions a day.

Tincture: Pour 5 parts 40-50% alcohol over 1 part dry, preferably ground herb. Set aside for 7 days and then filter. Take half a teaspoon of tincture diluted in half a glass of water 2-3 times a day. The tincture can be used to wash skin lesions such as warts, pimples, herpes.

Storage: Dry, cool and inaccessible to small children.
