What is guarana?

Guarana is a tropical plant, also known as Paullinia guarana or Paullinia cupana Kunth. The common word "guarana" probably comes from the name of the Indian tribe (Guarani) associated with the cultivation of this plant. Currently, guarana is mainly grown in Brazil. When ripe, the guarana fruit turns orange-red and bursts, revealing the seeds. This is a characteristic feature of guarana, thanks to which you can easily identify this plant correctly. Sometimes such cracked fruits with visible dark seeds are compared to the human eye.

What is guarana good for?

Caffeine found in guarana seeds is related to tannins and phenols, therefore it is released gradually and provides a completely different type of energy than coffee. The effect of guarana lasts longer and is more stable than the effect of coffee, which is fast and intense, but shorter.

Contraindications and side effects

Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients in the product. Not recommended for pregnant and nursing mothers and for children. Contains caffeine, do not use with other products that also contain caffeine or have a similar effect.
