What is Meadowsweet?
It belongs to rose plants and grows throughout Sweden on moist meadows, by ditches and roadsides. It contains the flavonoid quercetin, the glycoside spireaic acid. Essential oil with, among other things, salicylaldehyde and methylsalicylic acid, tanning agents, mucilage agents, vitamin C.
Due to large amounts of glycosides that are converted into salicylic substances in the body, meadowsweet flower has a natural effect in the body. Tea made from meadowsweet flower can be good during times of cold. The leaves can also be used to make moose grass juice. The herb also contains mucus substances that provide protection to the mucous membranes in the body.

Ingredients: Meadowsweet dried flowers
Dosage: Pour 2.5 dl of boiling water over 1-2 teaspoons of herb and let steep for 5-10 min.
